Introduction

Dost's privacy policy follows international and European legislation (GDPR) on data protection. In addition, Dost intends to inform the user through this document of their rights and obligations regarding the privacy of their data, as well as explaining the reason for the storage and use of the data.

Data collected by Dost

Dost collects all the information entered by the user in the application and stores it on its own servers or on the servers of Dost's storage provider. As a Cloud service, storage on servers is a requirement for the application to function, which is why the user accepts this fact.

Dost classifies data into two categories: user data and account data. User data includes the user's name and personal data, as well as photographs or other documentation that the user decides to upload to the application in the account information section and contact information. Account data are those related to the business account created by the user, in any of its different forms: Freelance, Personal Civil Society or Limited Liability Company, which includes billing data, expenses, contacts, workers and products.

Finally, Dost collects data from the connection device through cookies. The user can disable cookies in their browser so that Dost does not collect such information in case the user does not want it to. This information is used to conduct studies on navigation and access to the application, as well as its use. The navigation information includes the type of device and its characteristics, location, and connection times.

Data shared by the user

Many of our services allow you to share information with other users. Remember that when you share information publicly, it may be indexed by search engines. Our services provide you with different options on how to share and delete your content. When you use our services, our goal is to provide you with access to your personal information and to update it. If that information is not correct, we strive to provide you with ways to quickly delete or update it, unless we have to maintain that information for legal or legitimate business reasons. When updating your personal information, we may ask you to verify your identity so that we can process your request.

We may reject requests that are more repetitive than reasonable, require a disproportionate technical effort (for example, developing a new system or radically changing an existing practice), jeopardize the privacy of other users, or are impractical (for example, requests that refer to information stored in backup systems). When we can offer you the possibility of accessing and modifying your personal data, we will do so for free, unless it requires a disproportionate effort.

As we provide our services, we will protect your data so that it cannot be accidentally or intentionally deleted. For this reason, although you delete your data from our services, we may not immediately delete the residual copies stored on our active servers or the data stored in our security systems.

Access and modification of user data

The user can modify their user data or the accounts they own at any time. Dost does not store modified information, so once the user modifies or deletes the information, it will be lost forever within the application.

Data we share

We do not share personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals not affiliated with Dost, unless one of the following circumstances occurs:

Legal reasons: We will share your personal data with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of Dost if we believe in good faith that there is a reasonable need to access or use, retain, or disclose such data to: comply with any requirement provided by applicable legislation or regulations or to comply with any request from an administrative or judicial body; comply with the provisions of the current Terms of Service, including the investigation of possible infringements, detect or prevent any fraud or technical or security incident, or otherwise address them; protect the rights, property, or safety of Dost, our users, or the public in general to the extent required or permitted by applicable law.

Data Security

For Dost, security is of utmost importance. Currently, data storage services are provided through specialized providers with security certificates and anti-hacking systems. Dost has decided to outsource storage to ensure that the provider meets the highest security standards, at levels that Dost could not offer on its own storage servers.

We strive to protect Dost and our users from any unauthorized modification, disclosure, or destruction of the data we keep against unauthorized access to it. In particular: We encrypt many of our services using the SSL protocol. We review our policy on the collection, storage, and processing of data, including physical security measures, to prevent unauthorized access to our systems. We limit access by contractors, agents, and Dost employees to personal information they need to process for Dost and ensure that they comply with strict contractual confidentiality obligations and are subject to relevant disciplinary conditions or dismissal if they fail to comply with those obligations. Our Privacy Policy applies to all services offered by Dost and its subsidiaries, including Dost, but excludes services subject to independent privacy policies that do not incorporate this Privacy Policy.
